I have changed my mind about what’s needed for women to get ahead in the workplace. Sure paid maternity leave, child care and flexible working arrangements are great. But what is really needed is for more men to take career breaks and a more even share of community and family caring responsibility. A pipe dream? Perhaps. But behind every partnered successful women there is a wife – be they female or male, paid or unpaid.

I was supremely disappointed with the ending, which seemed cobbled, if not hobbled. I knew that there was supposed to be some vague lesbian content, because I read it somewhere and I believe everything I read, but when it didn’t materialize I wasn’t surprised. I wasn’t happy, but still unsurprised.

I was lucky – I didn’t realise there was lesbian content so I was delighted by its brief appearance. Low expectations ftw!
